the warrior myth

If we stop giving them the benefit of the doubt. If we stop making excuses and saying it is a noble warrior heritage that just got a little lost. The behavior becomes entirely transparent. Stripped of the religious and historical romanticism, the gun stickers, the forced aggression, and the domestic abuse are not some complex cultural mutation. It is just pure, unfiltered ego.

It is just insecure men using whatever tough aesthetic is lying around to justify having power over someone else. They grab onto the symbols of rebellion because it is easier than doing the actual work of building character. They want the respect of a fighter while only punching down in their own living rooms.

When you stop caring about the religious backstory, it strips away their final shield. It leaves nothing but the raw behavior to judge. You no longer see a misguided rebel. You just see a fragile ego terrified of losing control.
